She is a Professor of Political Science at the University of British Columbia and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
[2] Her thesis was entitled All the world was America: John Locke and the American Indian.
[3] Following her PhD, Arneil moved to North America and joined the faculty in the Department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia.
In 1996, she published her thesis in a book entitled John Locke and America: the defence of English colonialism.
[9] In 2022, Arneil's scholarly work was recognized with an election to be a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
