Barry Traynor

Barry Edward Traynor (born 9 December 1946[citation needed]) is an Australian former politician and police officer.

He was awarded four Chief Commissioner's commendations for investigation of crime and multiple arrests.

[citation needed] He was awarded a Parliamentary Study Tour visiting the UK, Canada and Jersey Channel Islands meeting with law enforcement departments discussing crime and drugs.

[citation needed] He was chair of the Police and Emergency Services Bills Committee and also a member of the Drugs and Crime Prevention Turning the Tide Committee 1997 Interim Report.
