The 19-story tower was the tallest building in the state for 3 years until completion of the Fourth & Walnut Center.
At the time, it was also home to Fosdick & Hilmer (engineering firm), an American Airlines reservation center, CVS Pharmacy, Phillip Bortz Jewelers, and Jimmy John's among many others.
Bishoff Co. acquired the building on February 8, 2013 for $535,000, ending more than five years of legal limbo for the vacant tower.
[7] In May of that same year, it was announced that the building would be converted into a $33 million hotel.
[8] On July 25, 2014, Columbia Sussex reopened the building as the Renaissance Cincinnati Downtown Hotel with 283 rooms, 40 suites, eight meeting rooms, and nearly 14,400 square feet of total meeting space.
