Battalion (Czech: Batalion) is a 1927 Czechoslovak social drama film directed by Přemysl Pražský.
He leaves home and goes to a low-class pub 'Battalion' where he meets various characters from the bottom of the society.
The story was inspired by a real life of 19th century lawyer and member of parliament František Uher who ended up as an alcoholic and a beggar.
Communist journalist Julius Fučík criticized the film for being too sentimental and distasteful, but praised the technical qualities.
