Battle of Khotan

In July 1934, General Ma Zhongying and Ma Hushan led the New 36th Division in an attack on Uyghur forces at Khotan, the last remaining city of the entire Uyghur and Kyrgyz force.

The last gasp of the First East Turkestan Republic would be found in Khotan, with the First East Turkestan Republic leader Muhammad Amin Bughra having to having to flee to India.
