Battle of Kiratpur (1704) took place between Mughal Empire support by Kangra State and Khalsa Fauj under Guru Gobind Singh.
[1][2] In September 1704, a combined force of Mughal troops from Delhi and Sarhind, along with the armies of the Kangra hill rajas, Muslim chiefs, local jagirdars, Ranghars, and Gujars, advanced from the Rupar region with the intent to attack Anandpur.
[3] According to historian Muhammad Akbar, a fierce battle ensued near Kiratpur, with the Sikhs displaying remarkable bravery in combat.
[4][5] Despite their determined resistance, the Sikhs were ultimately forced to retreat.
Guru Gobind Singh withdrew to the fortified town of Anandpur, where he sought refuge following the confrontation.
