The district encompasses approximately 21 square miles (54 km2) serving the Boroughs of Beaver and Bridgewater and Brighton Township and Vanport Township in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

The district serves a resident population of 14,993 people.

The district offers a variety of clubs, activities and sports.

Beaver Area is a member the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) and the WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League).

Varsity Sports: Middle School and Junior High Sports – A middle school team is open only to students in 7th and 8th grade, and a junior high team includes 7th through 9th graders.
