Dame Bernice Lake QC (1932/1933 – September 10, 2011) was an Anguillan-born jurist and legal scholar whose career spanned more than forty years.
[1][2] Lake was born in Anguilla and attended school on St. Kitts, but resided in Antigua for most of her life.
[1] The University of the West Indies awarded Lake an honorary doctorate in law at its Cave Hill campus graduation in Barbados in 2007.
[4] Dame Bernice Lake died at Mount St John Medical Centre in Antigua September 10, 2011, at the age of 78 after a brief illness.
[1][4][5] Her funeral was held at St Peters Parish Church in St. John's with burial in the churchyard.
