Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes Cavalcanti (August 29, 1831 – April 11, 1900) was a Brazilian doctor, politician, military officer, and influential figure in the early Spiritist movement in Brazil.
Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes Cavalcanti was born in the small town of Riacho do Sangue (now Jaguaretama), in the province of Ceará, Brazil.
[2] Bezerra de Menezes quickly gained a reputation as a compassionate and dedicated doctor, especially known for treating the poor and those who could not afford medical care.

His works, including books, articles, and public lectures, helped to popularize Spiritism in Brazil and solidify its place as a major spiritual movement in the country.
