He attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma in 1973,[3] where he decided to major in computer science.
Cannon (Kiowa/Caddo, 1946–1978) and Sherman Chaddlesone (Kiowa, 1947–2013), who had both studied at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
After graduating from IAIA, Glass returned to Oklahoma to work for the Cherokee Nation as an art program coordinator.
During this era, Willard Stone (1916–1985) and Cecil Dick (Cherokee Nation, 1915–1992) served as Glass' mentors.
The two convened Team Gadugi, an intertribal group of artists to create the public sculptural installation, The Passage (2003) about the Trail of Tears in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
