Blučina is a municipality and village in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The name is derived from the old Czech word bluk, which meant "the roar of water".
The highest point is the hill Výhon at 355 m (1,165 ft) above sea level.
The main landmark of Blučina is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
It was rebuilt in the 15th, 16th and 18th centuries, acquiring architectural elements from many different styles, but the late Romanesque core was also preserved.
