Bohri Bazaar

[2][3] Bohri Bazaar was once the most famous shopping place in Karachi.

[2][3] It has historical importance similar to Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar.

[2][3] Bohri Bazaar was established in 1939 as a location for camps for British military personnel.

[4][5] The community has built a mosque called Tahiri Masjid at the centre of the bazaar.

[4] Parts of Bohri Bazaar were badly damaged in a fire in 1958 but were rebuilt, and again in the 1987 Karachi car bombing and were restored later.
