Borensberg (Swedish pronunciation: [bʊrɛnsˈbærj] ⓘ)[2] is a locality situated in Motala Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden with 2,886 inhabitants in 2010.
[1] It is located 15 km east of Motala next to the Göta kanal and lake Boren, and has some factories including the plastic sheet manufacturer Arla Plast.
It is known to have hosted a pub during the reign of queen Christina of Sweden.
The building of Göta Canal had a major impact on the town.
Husbyfjöl market is held annually, on the first Saturday of September.
