Boris Mordukhovich is an American mathematician recognized for his research in the areas of nonlinear analysis, optimization, and control theory.
Mordukhovich is one of the founders of modern variational analysis and generalized differentiation.
Mordukhovich was born and educated in the Soviet Union; he emigrated to the United States with his family in December 1988.
[17] He is the Founding Editor (2008) and was a co-Editor-in-Chief (2009–2014) of Set-Valued and Variational Analysis, an international journal.
[18] In 2016, he was elected to the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti (Italy), and in 2021 he became a Foreign Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
