Boudry District

Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks French (31,695 or 86.3%) as their first language, German is the second most common (1,663 or 4.5%) and Italian is the third (1,007 or 2.7%).

The historical population is given in the following chart:[9][10] In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the SP which received 24.74% of the vote.

In the federal election, a total of 12,728 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 51.9%.

[11] From the 2000 census[update], 11,032 or 30.0% were Roman Catholic, while 14,370 or 39.1% belonged to the Swiss Reformed Church.
