Boulder Public Library

On November 4, 1959, the City Council voted to provide bonds of $450,000 to fund design and construction.

The district was formed as a result of a referendum, leading to the decoupling of the library from the municipality of Boulder.

The new library district will be funded by a property tax mill levy.

The Carnegie Branch Library for Local History is also located in downtown Boulder with an area of 4,000 square feet (370 m2).
