The section Bovenkerk – Aalsmeer Oost was broken up; the part between Amsterdam and Uithoorn remained in use for freight transport until 28 May 1972.

Since 25 April 1997, the museum tram has been running until Bovenkerk.

For the purpose of the museum tram, a passing loop and a wye has been built south of the Noorddammerlaan, located on the old embanks south of the fork with a tight connection arch.

Service to Bovenkerk and all other stations south of Parklaan is currently temporarily suspended.
