A Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was built of local stone in 1858 and is the oldest building in the area.

The Kerrimuir Post Office opened on 1 April 1955 and Box Hill North Post Office opened on 1 August 1955 as the population increased, requiring more dedicated postal services to meet the demands of an increasing population.
