Brachyscome basaltica, commonly known as swamp daisy,[2] is a perennial herb in the family Asteraceae and is endemic to Australia.
Brachyscome basaltica is a perennial herb with slender, tufted branches 30–60 cm (12–24 in) long.
The one-seeded dry fruit initially flattened becoming more or less swollen at maturity, 1.5–2 mm (0.059–0.079 in) long with small warty protuberances on the surface.
[2][3][4] Brachyscome basaltica was first formally described by Ferdinand von Mueller in 1858 and the description was published in Fragmenta Phytographiae Australiae.
