Brachyscome decipiens, commonly known as field daisy,[2] is a perennial herb in the family Asteraceae and is endemic to Australia.
The white or pale blue flower heads are 12–18 mm (0.47–0.71 in) in diameter, the peduncle 8–20 cm (3.1–7.9 in) long, broad, smooth and the centre yellow.
[2][3][4] Brachyscome decipiens was first formally described in 1847 by Joseph Dalton Hooker and the description was published in the London Journal of Botany.
[5][6] The specific epithet (decipiens) is derived from the Latin word decipio meaning "to beguile" or "to cheat".
