Branchiostegus sawakinensis, the freckled tilefish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a tilefish belonging to the family Malacanthidae.

It is native to the Indo-West Pacific area.

Also reported from the Arafura Sea, found in northwestern Australia and around the Philippines.
