Brandon Alvis (born June 22, 1987) is an American paranormal investigator, filmmaker, author, and television personality.
Alvis is the producer, director, and lead investigator for the television series Haunted Discoveries, which began airing on Canada's T+E network in 2023.
[16] On the Haunted Discoveries website, officials said Alvis and his staff are “on a mission to find the perfect home for their paranormal research organization.” In October 2024, Main Street Perryville, a non-profit supporting downtown and historic businesses in Perryville, Kentucky, announced that Alvis had recently purchased the landmark Dr. Jefferson Polk House property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
"I can’t wait to share this incredible building with the historical and paranormal community!” The reason behind the acquisition of the Dr. Polk property is for APRA and Haunted Discoveries to have a known haunted location where team members can continually monitor the paranormal activity while documenting, preserving, and promoting the legacy of Dr. Polk and Perryville's formative years.
A Main Street Perryville spokesperson writes, "we are gratified to turn this property over...to someone with the same passion for preservation, one who possesses a great admiration for Dr. Polk and his life’s story, and one who has the means and capacity to restore these structures and promote Perryville and its history on the world’s stage.”[17] Alvis told Collider, "Bringing our research to Kentucky, a place that many consider to be the most haunted state in America, has been a paranormal investigator's dream.
Haunted Discoveries proves that science can be scary, and is a pure documentary where history and methodology take precedence over manufactured jump scares and blinking lights.
