Broken Frontier is a web-magazine[1] which publishes news, interviews, and essays about the comic book industry, with a focus on the British small press scene.
Broken Frontier was a fully owned subsidiary of Platinum at this time, but was given the autonomy to continue operating as before.
However, in July 2007, Platinum terminated its association with Broken Frontier,[3][4] leaving the site independently owned once again.
In 2015 it launched its annual mentoring programme, spotlighting six new creators each year with the aim of bringing them to comics publisher attention.
[7] In 2020 its work in this area was acknowledged in the British newspaper the i, in an interview with UK Comics Laureate Hannah Berry.
