Burford Sampson DSO (30 March 1882 – 5 June 1959) was an Australian politician and soldier.
Born in Launceston, Tasmania, he was educated at Launceston Grammar School before serving in the military 1899–1901, during the Second Boer War.
He served in World War I (1914–1918) and was at the landing at Gallipoli, before serving on the Western Front and briefly commanding the 15th Battalion during their final battle around Jeancourt in September 1918.
[2] He was defeated at the 1937 federal election (his term finishing in June 1938), but was re-elected in 1940.
