C. James Roper (April 14, 1905[1] – September 18, 1983)[2] was an American physician and politician from Georgia.
[1] Shortly after, he began teaching science and chemistry in Austinburg, Ohio.
[1] He served in World War II in the Army Air Forces and was sent to Europe in 1943 as a flight surgeon, with the rank of Major.
[3] In 1982, he retired from medical practice at age 76 due to poor health.
[3] He met his wife, Helen Ellsworth, while teaching in Austinburg.
