Calopogon barbatus, the bearded grass-pink, is a species of orchid native to the southeastern United States, from Louisiana to North Carolina.
Corms are typically round to elongated, 1.3 - 2.6 cm long.
Flowers, numbering from 1 to 12, are spaced less than 1 cm apart, blooming almost simultaneously.
Lateral sepals are ovate to moderately lanceolate measuring 1.1 - 1.6 x 0.5 - 0.9 cm.
[4] Calopogon barbatus grow in wet, acidic, sandy grasslands and pine savannas across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina, USA, at elevations from sea level to 100 meters.
