Carex vixdentata

Carex vixdentata is a tussock-forming species of perennial sedge in the family Cyperaceae.

[1] Carex vixdentata is a grass-like, clump-forming plant, with stems that reach from 10 to 60 cm.

Basal sheaths are reddish in colour and fibrous in consistency.

The inflorescence takes the form of several spikes, both male and female.

[3]It favours muddy, and sometimes sandy soil along the coast, and also occasionally inland.
