Carmenta pyralidiformis, the boneset borer, is a moth of the family Sesiidae.

It is known from the United States, including Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia.
The larvae feed on the roots of bonesets and thoroughworts (Eupatorium spp.).
