Castle Caereinion railway station

It serves the nearby village of Castle Caereinion and lies 3+3⁄4 miles (6.0 km) from the Welshpool Raven Square terminus.

[1] The station was an important intermediate stop and had a signal box that still survives.

[3] The Great Western Railway withdrew passenger services on 9 February 1931.

[4] By 1963 the line had a passenger service restored by the Welshpool and Llanfair Railway.

[5] The station officially reopened on 6 April 1963,[1] however due to damage caused by floods to the Banwy Bridge it was closed between 28 September 1964 and 14 August 1965.
