Catherine Wihtol de Wenden (born 6 June 1950[1]) is a French political scientist.

[4] Wihtol de Wenden has been a consultant to the OECD, the Council of Europe, and the European Commission as well as an external expert to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

[5] She was also a member of the French National Commission on Security Ethics (fr) from 2003 to 2011.

[7] She also won the médaille d'honneur from the French National Centre for Scientific Research in 2017.

[4] Wihtol has been vocal in the French media in support of loosening restrictions on migration to France.
