Cedrela angustifolia

Cedrela angustifolia is a species of tree in the mahogany family, Meliaceae.

It easily colonizes disturbed habitat, forming dense canopy.

[2] Some populations have faced substantial declines, and it is considered to be an endangered species.

One historical tree, purported to be more than 300 years old, remains in the courtyard of the Monasterio Hotel in Cusco.

Non-native eucalyptus trees are prized for their rapid growth, and are used throughout the area for both timber and fuel.
