Chacoche District is one of the nine districts of the Abancay Province in Peru.
[1] One of the highest peaks of the district is Wik'uña Wat'a at approximately 4,600 m (15,100 ft).

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (68.89%) learnt to speak in childhood, 30.76% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
