Chalcorana macrops is a species of "true frog" in the family Ranidae.
[3] The specific name macrops refers to the large eyes of this frog.
[2][4] Chalcorana macrops occurs along canopy-covered streams—its presumed breeding habitat—in primary and secondary lowland forests at elevations of 300–1,000 m (980–3,280 ft) above sea level.
It is threatened by habitat loss caused by smallholder farming.
Some of its habitat is protected by the Lore Lindu National Park.
