Chalcorana scutigera is a species of "true frog" in the family Ranidae.
[2] However, it is a poorly known species that might actually be synonymous with Polypedates leucomystax.
[2] Chalcorana scutigera was described based on a single specimen, the holotype, which is a male measuring 49 mm (1.9 in) in snout–vent length.
The specimen was yellow when observed alive but turned paler when caught, with the yellow colour almost disappearing.
[3] Habitat requirements of Chalcorana scutigera are unknown, but it presumably breeds in water.
