Chander Prakash Wadhwa SM, VSM, (born 1953) is a senior Indian Army Lt. General who was Force Commander of MONUSCO, the United Nations mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
From January 2005 until February 2008, he was the military attaché of the Indian Embassy in Paris, France.
He later became Additional Directorate General of Staff Duties at the Indian Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence, where he was responsible for the peacekeeping operations of India.
[1][2] Prakash was appointed as Force Commander of MONUSCO in August 2010, he succeeded Babacar Gaye.
