Charles Macintosh (rugby union)

Charles Nicholson Macintosh (6 June 1869 – 14 September 1918) was a New Zealand rugby union player and politician.

[3] A forward, Macintosh represented South Canterbury at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, on their 1893 tour of Australia.

On that tour he played in four matches, including wins over New South Wales and Queensland.

A warrant for his arrest was issued on 4 May, relating to a charge of fraud in a property transaction, and on 22 June 1903 he was declared bankrupt.

[1] In 1940 his son, John Nicholson Macintosh, was appointed British vice-consul in Santa Fe, Argentina.
