Charles Skeete

[1] In the 1980s, Skeete was appointed to the committee that analyzed the economies and social development of the member states of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

[1] Prior to his career as a diplomat, Skeete served as the Permanent Secretary of Barbados’ Ministry of Finance.

[1] He then served as a senior economic adviser for the Inter-American Development Bank, based in Washington D.C., for more than thirty years.

[1][2] In 2006, Skeete's alma mater, the Combermere School, inducted him into its Blue Ribbon Class of distinguished alumni.

[1] Charlie Skeete died at his home in Fairfax, Virginia, in the United States, on December 9, 2017, at the age of 79.
