Cheremisinovsky District (Russian: Череми́синовский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia.
The area of the district is 813 square kilometers (314 sq mi).
[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Cheremisinovo.
The terrain is hilly plain averaging 200 meters (660 ft) above sea level; the district lies on the Orel-Kursk plateau of the Central Russian Upland.
The district is 60 km (37 mi) northeast of the city of Kursk, and 480 km (300 mi) south of Moscow.
