The racial makeup of the township was 94.74% White, 0.58% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.06% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.10% from other races, and 3.38% from two or more races.
There were 532 households, out of which 20.10% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.53% were married couples living together, 3.57% had a female householder with no spouse present, and 30.83% were non-families.
