Cherupaithangal

Full title: ചെറുപൈതങ്ങൾക്ക ഉപകാരാർത്ഥം ഇംക്ലീശിൽനിന്ന പരിഭാഷപ്പെടുത്തിയ കഥകൾ) is the first Malayalam book ever to be printed in Kerala.

[4] Cherupaithangal is a collection of seven stories for children translated from English by the British missionary Benjamin Bailey and printed in C. M. S. Press, Kottayam in 1824.

The existence of this book was long forgotten and, in modern times, it was brought to public awareness by George Irumbayam, an Indian literary critic and literature researcher, in June 2024.
