Christopher Kelly Browne (May 16, 1952 – February 5, 2023) was an American comic strip artist and cartoonist.
From 1989 to 2023, Browne wrote and drew the comic strip Hägar the Horrible, which is distributed by King Features Syndicate.
Born in South Orange, New Jersey, on May 16, 1952, and growing up in suburban Wilton, Connecticut, Browne assisted his father on the comic strips Hi and Lois and Hägar the Horrible.
Both include a Scottie dog (Scottish Terrier) as a common feature.
Browne lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota,[3] where he died on February 5, 2023, at the age of 70.
