Christian Liger (24 August 1935 – 3 December 2002[1]) was a 20th-century French writer.
Christian Liger studied in Nîmes then at the University of Montpellier.
He earned his doctorate in letters with a thesis entitled Les débuts d’André Suarès.
After he was active as a teacher then University professor, he devoted himself entirely to writing: novels, essays, theater.
His last work, Le Roman de Rossel (fictionalized biography of the officer Minister for War of the Paris Commune, Louis-Nathaniel Rossel), was awarded: Christian Liger was a member of the Académie de Nîmes [fr].
