[1] The church was built near the site of the former villa Clippiacum belonged to King Dagobert I[3] and that was the Meorvingian birthplace of the city.

[4] It is located on Rue du Planty, named after the 19th-century mayor of the city who restored the church.

The keystone from the House of Condé was added in the 16th century, while the façade was ended during the reign of Henry IV.

[9] In 1976, the mayor Paulette Fost [fr] undertook restoration works performed by architects Brasilier, Thyrault and Plankaert.
