Churchill High School (Winnipeg)

Sir Winston Churchill was described as having the heart of a lion, the courage of a bulldog and a digestive system similar to a cement mixer.

The cornerstone of Churchill High School was laid in 1955, where Arnold Avenue and Hay Street meet in Riverview.

[citation needed] In 2014, two former bulldogs Evan Gill and Thomas Miles were drafted into the CFL in rounds 1 and 4.

In 2013, Tanis Westdal, a teacher in Churchill's Flexible Learning program, was a recipient of the Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence.
