Clarendon was built at Lancaster in 1792 as a West Indiaman.
She wrecked on 7 April 1815, while sailing from Bermuda to the United States as a cartel bringing prisoners of war from the British capture of USS President.
Clarendon first appeared in Lloyd's Register (LR) in the volume for 1792.
[1] The cartel Clarendon, Garness, master, brought 400 prisoners from the USS President from Bermuda back to New York.
On 7 April 1815 she grounded at Sandy Hook but crew, passengers, and prisoners were all saved.
