[10] Los Angeles street artist Shepard Fairey used Myers' photo of a rescued shaggy dog named Sylvie (owned by dog trainer Ann Allums)[11][12] and made it a screen print similar to the "Hope" poster Fairey did of Barack Obama during the 2008 U.S. presidential election.
For the ADOPT poster, released in January 2009, Fairey created a mutt version of the red, white and blue screen print.
