Clifton is a town in Grant County, Wisconsin, United States.
The town was probably named for Bosman Clifton, a community and religious benefactor who came from Delaware.
At the 2000 census there were 304 people, 108 households, and 77 families living in the town.
There were 112 housing units at an average density of 3.1 per square mile (1.2/km2).
About 14% of families and 17.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 27.6% of those under the age of 18 and none of those 65 or over.
