Climate Defiance is a climate movement organization in the United States which uses direct action protests to demand stronger climate change mitigation policies.
[2][3] The organization mostly focuses on protesting Democratic officials, because they hold the White House and Senate.
[4] Climate Defiance disrupted the 2023 White House Correspondents Dinner,[1] an event for Exxon CEO Darren Woods,[5] and the speaking events of several powerful Democratic officials, including Tommy Beaudreau,[3] Pete Buttigieg,[6] Jennifer Granholm,[3][7] Amy Klobuchar,[8] Joe Manchin,[9] Jerome Powell,[10][11][12] and Ali Zaidi.
[13] After these actions, the group received a private meeting with White House adviser John Podesta.
