He played college football at North Carolina and was selected by the Washington Redskins in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft.
In Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings, Holcomb forced a fumble on wide receiver Stefon Diggs that was recovered by teammate Ryan Anderson in the 19–9 loss.
