Conair of Scandinavia

Around 1970, Conair got in to the "jet age", and bought second-hand Boeing 720Bs from Eastern Air Lines instead.

In autumn of 1987, two Conair Boeing 720s had their nose gear cracked during otherwise normal landings in Salzburg, Austria and Rome, Italy.

In the aftermath of the war, a sudden drop in numbers of flight passenger worldwide was a factor (which among other things) led to the bankruptcy of Pan Am.

On 1 January 1994, Conair merged with a Swedish charter airline Scanair, forming a new carrier, Premiair.

The vast majority of flights had their destinations in the Mediterranean area but also at Canary Islands, Gambia, London, Rome and Paris.
